I would like to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Aaron Davis and I am an Arizona native, Army Infantry Veteran, and dedicated outdoorsman. I have been blessed to have been raised by a father that introduced me to hunting at an early age even though we didn't have much money. Quail hunting was our passion!! After my stint in the Military, I was fortunate to have wonderful friends that introduced me to Big Game Hunting through an Archery Kiabab hunt in Northern Arizona. Man was I hooked!! That was a little over 5 years ago and I have have spent every day since working to become and to know all that I can, that is Big Game Hunting. My true passion lies with my archery tackel, but I do possess the skills to harvest with my trusty 30-06.
I have learned through a blue collar upbringing that dedication and hardwork is the key to success in almost any endeavor one may choose. I bring this blog forward to share my vision of "Hunter's Division"with friends, family, and fellow hunters. The "Hunter Athlete" in my mind does not mean those who are athletes and hunt, but that "Hunters are Athletes". No matter your physical predisposition genetically; those that train hard physically, mentally, and commit themselves to their passion are truely athletes. In my quest to inspire others, I will post stories of my scouting trips, workout sessions, fitness tips, and of course hunting sucesses and failures!
I hope that I can bring this to you in a raw, unrefined media that all of you can identify with. I do not claim to know everything about hunting, fitness, or motivation; but what has worked for me.
I will leave you with a favorite quote of mine: "A man does what he can until his destiny is revealed".
