Went out to Usery this morning to get some good practice in with some Ronnie and Collin. The temperature was awesome so we got to spend a few more hours out there before the heat(and hunger) pushed us off the range. I made a couple of amazing 100 yard bulls eye shots too boot!! We're still trying to get Ronnie dialed in with his new bow, but we a couple of tuning issues that need to be worked out before we moved forward with sighting in all his pins. Got to spend a few minutes talking with some Rutnhard members about their upcoming hunts and their scouting efforts! Great morning overall.
I'm a little behind the power curve on training for my Archery Antelope hunt due to some physical therapy that I'm having done on my left knee. Today was a great start! Shot over 80 arrows from different distances and shooting positions while walking the range. Knee is feeling a lot better so I think it's time to crank things up for preseason. Daily shooting sessions in the yard to start and as soon as the doc gives me the okay, it's back at the gym! If I don't get the okay..... well.... I might just have to suck it up until after the hunt and get back to therapy after that. Can't hunt if I can't walk a couple of miles. Gotta make my hunt a priority!
Put boot to ground and you will reap the rewards this fall!
